ByteClash turns a fishing session into a challenge. Create a Clash in the Bytefish app and choose the mode, duration and ranking by weight or length. Creating and joining a Clash is free.
- Group: up to 10 anglers, including the creator.
- 1x1 Duel: compete against one other angler.
- Personal Ghost: fish solo against your best result from a completed Clash with the same duration and ranking type. A compatible previous result is required.
15 minutes to 24 hours. Choose 1, 2, 4, 8, 12 or 24 hours, or a custom duration. In Simultaneous mode, everyone fishes at the same scheduled time. In Asynchronous mode, each angler starts their own attempt once the Clash is active, with the same duration for everyone. The timer cannot be paused or restarted.
Top 5 ranking: the sum of your five best catches by weight or length. The largest catch breaks ties. Record catches in the app and follow the Clash leaderboard.

Bytefish also offers free fishing missions and challenges. Explore missions published by organizations, check the species, target and deadline, and track progress through identified catches in ByteTrack. These catches also grow your personal species collection. Open Missions in the app to find your next goal.
